If you have that many friends that remember you and go to the effort just to be with you on a holiday then I would consider you a   very blessed person.   Who cares about material gifts when you have so many that care?

Dr Pixel has given his share of donation$ to the community.   I think it's all about acknowledgement.  Dr Pixel also made some nice pirate objects and clothes.
