I'm all for No Paysite To Live myself. Grin

Well, I prefer watching All my Freesites myself.

Well Thomas has never been smart. All he cares about is getting us shut down. So if that means everyone turns against him in the path, so be it, because when he exposes us as the dirty people we are, everyone will be crawling back to him apologizing for thinking he was wrong. Thats my guess as to what Thomas is thinking about this war, not that I would ever want to be in his head.

Haha, I think coconut, pescado and the pirates are Thomass' "Moby Dick".

I loved the forum but never quite knew how to feel about the association with reflexsims.de (which was full of crap.).

Exactly. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that the evil cow was just insanely jealous of the more talented creators who contributed to the forum and needed any excuse to shut them down. If you've ever downloaded her sketchy looking crap from the booty you'd understand why she'd be so jealous. She wasn't fit to lick Jonesi's or any of the other's boots.

Lol, I actually did download some reflexsims stuff from the booty just to hit the delete button once I saw it's full ugliness in my beloved Sims' homes. It took me a long time to realize that the stuff in the forum wasn't made by the same person that was responsible for said ugliness, and allow it in my game.

Anyway, Thomass is pretty stupid. Every time he takes a hit in this 'war' between pirates and paysites, it bites him in the ass. When they shut down coconut, it was only a matter of time until s/he found a new home (repeatedly!). Now, every member of the rsf is going to be turning to the side that serves rum and cookies. Which is stupid as they were neutral before. And the forum is just going to continue under a different name.

Wow, I just got off of work to see this. I loved the forum but never quite knew how to feel about the association with reflexsims.de (which was full of crap.). I guess I finally got my answer.

Oh and I posted a link to the lovely booty in Marcellas guestbook. I figured since she doesn't want to be associated with the pirates she might not like that too much  Grin

Wow, just peeked over at reflexsims forum. It's great to see that Coconut (and the pirates) have a good influence on the Sims community.

Just shows that Thomass must be scared shitless of what's coming next. Dare I say there might be trouble with his connection with EA in the near future???

I don't know how trustworthy this website outlook thingy is. Anyone notices the 30 top viewed websites on the bottom. Looks to me just like another way to link to porn.

Wow...so much has happend in so little time.  I can't believe that he's trying to "fix" the forums himself.  Or maybe its his "expert". I once had a boss who thought it was a brilliant idea to cancel our contract with our tech guy (who was great) and replace him with a 17 year old kid who hadn't graduated high school yet......I imagine that this is the kind of "expert" Walt has hired.
*snip*

I think he might have just read a book:

KathyisDaft who's post are you quoting? Is that from Insim?

Those are Walt's from InSim.

I thought he claimed he didn't know them personally? From those quotes, it seems like he has a history with them or something.

They probably gave him some sob-story when he bought InSim made his investment. Why else would they sell such a lucrative community?

Too funny... BTW - are we still staying away from insim so that the mass deletion can happen or what??

I am, but I don't know what the "official" stance is right now. Anyone?

Well, I'll stay away as well then. Especially after Paden's announcement seems to have broken the site once again. *starts game up to suppress urges to gawk*

Nymphy posted this over at the Oasis

Like to know the latest fail? After setting ALL the private areas to public, Walt has now removed them from ALL members viewing - so now the admins can not see the admin area, and the mods can not see the mod area, and us talents can not see the contributors area. He clearly does not know the software at all. Hilarious fail

Damn, what to do?

Whatever you want Wink. There seems to be some confusion over whether Pescado has said to burn or not. On reflection, considering the various things he's posted, I think the order may be to burn. He's got it all backed up anyway. But do what you want to do, don't depend on us to make the decision for you. I for one am severely lacking RUM, so am not at my peak brain power.

Alright, I am delurking, since you been whining about a lack of rum, to pass some around *passes rum around making sure neriana gets a lot of it*

Just a side note here: TSR must be mighty happy the community isn't exploding thanks to them but someone else and their site. Conspiracy, anyone??

Alright. I may or may not return - I've got some golfing to do with a lady named Anita.

She might be easy too. I heard all she had was a fella named Tom (Tim?) since she was a youngon.

You guys ever wonder what a certain accent sounds like to another accent?

Like, the scottish accent sounds like a harsher version of the irish accent, but to another harsh accent (like russian maybe) does it sound harsh, or does it sound normal in tone?

Do people with spainish accents think the canadian accent sounds slow (like americans tend to)?
Do german accents think that english accents sound flat, and if so, do they think the american accent is even flatter than it is?

My head hurts now.

Coming out of my lurking stage - so don't hit me Smiley

Anyway, I am a German living in America (Michigan) for six years now. It's actually funny for me when I hear other Germans speak English as it sounds very harsh even to me. Funny thing is I don't think I have an accent anymore but most people still hear it thinking I am anything from British to Canadian or Australian.

And by the way, the English accent doesn't sound flat to me. My family always jokes that Americans talk like they have a hot potato in their mouths though!
