Because some people can't comprehend that you can start your Neighborhoods folder or your Downloads folder over fresh without reinstalling the software too? Heaven forbid they should learn basic computer troubleshooting techniques.

I was extremely tempted to ask why in the world anyone would ever WANT her files, myself, but I mostly post in WCIF forums to show off my good memory and Google-fu.

I heartily cheer on the finishing of all your fascinating ongoing projects, especially since I'll be installing AL soon. I want the curtains most of all, though.

What I want to know here (to bring the thread back on-topic  Wink ) is when bruno's gorgeous swimwear will be available again!

I hate my computer!  Angry Luckily I back up my families, I however didn't backup my downloads folder... soo ALL of my curtains have been nommed away by my recovery disks. Thanks to this giant computer hiccup.

Probably within time, I'll go back to working on them. :/

Aww, I was looking forward to those, too. At least you know there's an enthusiastic audience if and when you feel like messing with them again.

Well I tried and failed with that mesh with Banksy's art.

I went to check in game on the art I'd done with pixelhate's mesh, and it was all blocky, whereas with Aikea's it was "normal?"
I really liked Aikea's mesh, the only prblem with it is that it's only one tile. I wonder if she does requests Cheesy

Try the 2-tile wall art mesh on page 3 of objects at Club Crimsyn?

cookiepirate, where in the world did you find those house numbers that you used on your lot? I've been searching for some, and only found ones that came on a plaque. I obviously need to take landscaping courses from you and FilthyPriest. Those lots are both gorgeous (as is the sim!).

I believe those are by wildstar24 at TSR (free).

I really want those shirts. (And if you're looking for suggestions, there can't possibly be enough tops made on the alpha dress top either.)

Up at the top of each subsection of this forum is a link to the handy FAQ. If you read it, not only will you become enlightened as to how to comport yourself on a forum that doesn't have any rules about being nice to new people who haven't read the FAQ yet, you will also find a link to all the downloads.

I do hope somebody'll manage to get that Reno hair. I don't care about FF7 Sims, but that hair is thus far the closest thing I've seen to a spiked style I've been wanting for YEARS for a character I want to Sim myself and I'd love to get my hands on it and start hacking away at the alpha.

Properly binned hair has been used to generate townies/etc. for as long as there's been properly binned hair. It's not new to BV.

MOAR SERVER. I put my money where my mouth is. (Well, not on chocolate. That would just get chocolate stains on the money.)
13  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / SHINY FLOORS on: 2007 August 02, 03:36:19
As far as the floors go, I'm familiar with two versions, both by Teko -- the older one is apparently opaque and recolorable, and I believe it requires shaders (which is why it doesn't work for everyone), while the newer Murano version is transparent and doesn't require shaders. No idea the status of the older one, but the newer one is apparently being moved to TSR along with the rest of Murano Mobilia, so it'll most likely be in the booty soon. Tongue

Step in the right direction, but still, where I am going to get retextures of godawful peggy haircolors now?!?!

I suggest http://rissa-styles.tevalon.de/ (and I'm going to check out RenegadeSims's site, too)
15  The Pirate Ship / ARR! / I'm sharing a pay site thought and some history... on: 2007 July 13, 03:27:22
Personally, I didn't object to paying to help cover bandwidth costs, but things have changed since I first started downloading stuff for TS1, when most sites were $5/mo or less, nobody charged per item or had downloads that were only supposed to be available if you subscribed during a particular time period or for several months in one go, nobody was known to be hiring creators to make things for pay, and paysites were far less common. It's particularly nonsensical when there's a giant, all-free Sims 2 site that people can upload to, whereas in the TS1 days you pretty much had to make your own site or upload to TSR (and while Sims 2 files are larger, bandwidth is cheaper now than it was 5 years ago).
