There are PLENTY of places to poke sharp sticks at free sites we think do bad work/are suspiciously obnoxious/adhere to Nouk's Jpeg Sharpening Edict.

We also know that some former TSR creators have gone on to build their own free sites, and whether or not you think they are still tied in some way to TSR, they are free.

And PLEASE let's cease and desist with discussions about free sites who ask for Voluntary Donations to help subsidize costs. That's not only allowed by the EULA, but it's fine. Even when it's abig site like MTS2.

So knock it off!

THIS is not the place to whine about free sites! We have plenty of paysite crap to deal with ...remember who the enemy is.

On a serious note, here, I have to agree with alia - this site shouldn't be about demanding everything you want for free as if it is your right - either from free site owners or the kind pirates who do the booty.

Most of us here treat very harshly those that post a new thread to demand something - just think of it in the same light when you demand something anywhere else.

There's always the option of making your own content which will fit to your exacting standards, and if it's free, and not a compulsory download, this is really not a place for "all sims sites must be destroyed".

The place for slamming free content is the BBS - where hacks will ruin your game in a heartbeat, and stuff from MTS2 is just a clever virus delivery system.

The sense of entitlement in this community is reaching epic proportions. I've seen everything from people whining that the newest pay creation isn't in the booty instantaneously to them whining because they didn't get to download a certain pay set because it was reported for copyright infringement and subsequently yanked by the creator. I'm beginning to believe that it's all about the "download", community or doing what's right be damned. If it deprives some "poor soul" of a download, don't do it regardless of whether it's the right thing to do.

No one is entitled to anything. It'll be in the booty when Gwen and Hecubus feel like putting it there. If a download becomes unavailable for what ever reason - it's unavailable. You are not entitled to it. Move on or make your own.

As for free sites - Cala said it best:
