As soon as I saw that post I checked here. I don't really know what to say. Although I check the tsr forums regularly I've never subscribed to the actual site. Nor do I ever intend too. I think making that post over there is like running headlong into a brickwall at topspeed though.

It's simply an agreement which you click yes to whenever you play a game like The Sims 2 or log onto an online game like World of Warcraft. They aren't worth the paper they're not written on and are simply there as a means for the game's originators to be able to cover their backs in the case of any eventuality.

Now, that's interesting.  When we download from PeggySims or RoseSims, do we need to click on a little thing that says "I agree" under a list of terms and conditions?  Even if we did, well hey, it's not law right?  It's just a "simple agreement" and isn't "worth the paper they're not written on".

To say that a paysite that creates content for a copyrighted game, using materials that are from the game code itself, has more right than EA's EULA itself is just a tad ridiculous.  Not to mention that once someone buys a product, they can pretty much do whatever they want with it..

@renegadesims: I love how everyone at TSR are so shamelessly hypocritical. They claim that an End User Licence Agreement isn't law, yet you have to check one of those "I agree" boxes when you register at TSR and their forums. I'm eager to use their philosophy against them.
