I'm having trouble loading the booty as it sends me to this site: http://custom404error.com/?keywords=rare%20coin%20collectors/pagenotfound. I even use the correct URL to the booty to no avail.

Part of the reasons for the ups and downs is because as a cost-cutting and defensive measure, we're distributing parts of the site across the crappiest, most lousy cheapass webhosts we can find, and while they're distributed redundantly, some people are going to possibly end up pulling one that has collapsed for various reasons.

ive been trying for the last few hours to download a bridal gown from the sim chic section but it keeps showing up wrong in my game. is there something wrong with the download??

gizmogurlie If you are having trouble downloading, maybe we can help.  Does the file download completely?  Does it unzip without problems?  If you are having trouble because the dress is broken, we cannot help.  I do not know if there is anything wrong with the dress, but if there is, that is simchic's fault and we cannot fix it.  We just share the files.  I recommend getting free stuff from MTS, GoS, or any number of sites, try FreeSimsFinds (link in my sig).  Free stuff tends to be better quality.

well i have no trouble downloading it but it looks like something is missing cuz when i try to locate it in my game it just shows a default dress.....if its the site itself ill just leave it at that then

gizmogurlie You probably have a simchic dress recolor but are missing the mesh.  If you know which mesh you need, you can look for the mesh in the booty.  Please use capitalization, it helps people read your posts more easily.
