Soooo.... It's possible to make objects created for TS2 work in TS3? As in, all the CC I've collected over the years? |

Yes- Amadeo and Nextor Torres, at GOS have already extracted several TS2 hair meshes from the base game and converted them to TS3 and there have been a ton or CC hair conversions as well. I have not seen any clothes conversions though.
Nandonalt has already converted a TS2 EA chair and table to work in TS3 , and several other creators are working on converting some of their stuff to TS3.

And as we see from Clutter- a- holic people are also doing the reverse with TS3 to TS2 conversions.

Be careful on that last site.  I just got hit by a highjacker--some crook trying to convince me to invest in his phony real-estate scam. |

It went away after a bit.  It not only resisted my trying to go to another site, by putting up multiple pop ups asking things like, "Do you really want to miss out on this opportunity to be scammed?" when I'd try to navigate elsewhere, but showed up the next couple of times I opened Firefox.
I was procrastinating about putting in Ad Blocker and no script.  They're both on there now.

I'll be VERY interested to see some sort of tutorial on how to do that! If it's something not too complicated, like just changing a code or something, and I could convert whatever TS2 CC I have... Hmmm.... I might just keep TS3 installed after all. |

Check over on MTS to see if Nandonalt posted a tutorial in the meshing section on how to do it- or try pm'ing him at MTS to see if he can send you directions on how to do  TS2 to TS3 conversions. |

Converting from TS2 to TS3 or vice versa is not simply changing a code in the package.  The packages are different, the uvmapping and texturing is different.  Depending on what your converting it can be as time consuming as starting afresh. |

I need to convert my stuff over - 'specially the counter culture stuff I made.  And think I'll ask Numenor and Mary Lou's permission to convert their kitchen stuff over too, though it might require me doing stuff as seperate meshes....I'm not -that- good. |

Just found this pretty F2M conversion of XM Sims hair (shame on me for not seeing it before). I'm so in love with all Sion's textures/re-textures/re-alphas/everything. It's here: http://xxxsisterxxx.web.fc2.com/i/hair.html , and no, this isn't direct link to the page, because you have to see moar pretties!    |
