ETA: Does Sweden have a law that's equivalent to COPPA? If they don't, I'm not sure that they have to abide by it. It'd be great if they got busted for disobeying it, though.

I dunno. We have CEOP over here in the UK, not sure if there is an EU-wide law though. Would COPPA not kick in if the children in question are in the US?

Why they are soliciting this kind of info - I mean full name and postal address, come on - from children as young as 9 is beyond me. We all know only dud accounts and SAs win the prizes, so the excuse that 'we need your address for giving out prizes' is pure bull.

I think it'd still be illegal for an American child under the age of 13 to sign up. Being American, you have to abide by America's laws no matter where a website is registered/hosted/whatever. As long as you and your computer are in the U.S., you must abide by U.S. law. Unfortunately, this is only T$R's problem if A. Sweden has a law similar to COPPA with similar age constraints and/or B. if they catch an American member under the age of 13 on the site without parental consent. Are there any Swedish people here who could help out?

Please note that it's entirely possible that I'm wrong. If I am, plz to be correcting me.
