THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I am left handed and was lucky enough to never have had the any of my teachers treat me like that.  I just had an awful 4th grade teacher.  She was pissed at my parents because they got her in trouble over my brother and she took it out on me.  My brother had a learning disability and epilepsy and she made his life miserable. My parents tried hard to keep me out of her class but the principal wouldn't allow it.  So 4th grade was the worst year of my elementary school for me.  Any chance she had to make fun of me in front of the class she would take.  I guess I should feel better that I wasn't the only one she did it to.

I went back to that school after I graduated to work for an after school program and she was still the bane of the kids.  I had children that I took care of in the program come to me in tears about how she would scream at them and degrade them. I made sure to let the parents know.   Horrible woman.

My sixth grade Art teacher was horrendous. She taped a boy in my class to chair because he had the nerve to get up get his pencil that rolled off the desk. Oh and she just despised me. If someone did something within a 3 foot radius of me, I got blamed for it. But at least I can say I wasn't taped to a chair...

I had one too. Mrs. Jennings was an evil bitter dried up old prune who hated kids. She was my 3rd grade reading teacher. She would grab kids by their hair and yell at them just for looking at her wrong. I was generally a good kid and got good grades. I had respect for adults and authority figures. My dad was cop, so I kinda had no choice. Anyway, this woman was a total nightmare. I remember doing a homework assignment with my mother's help. The next day I somehow lost the assignment. It fell out of my notebook on the bus, I think. When it came time to turn in our homework assignments, I couldn't find mine. I was looking everywhere for it frantically when Mrs. Jennings came to my desk and asked for it. I told her I did it but couldn't find it. She immediately accused me of lying and took me to the principal's office. She told him to give me a paddling because I had not done my homework and then lied about it. She couldn't paddle me herself because at the time only the principal was allowed to enforce corporal punishment. So he decides to make me sit in his office all day waiting to get paddled. Even made me eat lunch in there. Then at the end of the day just before the last bell, they both come in to the office. Mrs. Jennings then proceded to yell at me while the principal paddled me. They said they would not stop until I admitted that I didn't do my homework and that I lied about it. I just wanted to go home so I did what they wanted.
I told my parents what happened. The next day they went to the school and raised holy hell. My dad was literally screaming for this woman's head.
I was placed in a different class after that and I never saw Mrs. Jennings again. I have no idea what happened to her, but she was old then, so she's probably dead now.
That was the only time I ever got in trouble at school.

When I was four I made a witch on a broomstick (fork). My teacher told me it was pathetic, it sounded like a nice word,  I was so proud of it.

I don't know why I laughed out loud after reading your "pathetic" story. I just did. -  Cheesy

I was a student teacher under a bitch of a teacher for 1st graders. She yelled at a little boy because it was the first time his father had had to be away over night and wasn't going to be home and the child was upset. Instead of comforting the six year old she yelled at him "BE A MAN AND STOP CRYING!". That of course only made the child more upset. I handed the child a tissue to blow his nose and she looked at me as if I'd handed the child some illegal substance. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have stood up for the kids and told the principal what a two faced lying witch she was. She would fawn all over the principal when he was in the room, but when he left she'd say "That man doesn't know anything. I've been teaching for 25 years and he doesn't know how to teach kids!" I really wish I could have gotten her fired. The other teachers hated her and wished they'd had me instead of her. One teacher told me I was very creative and would make a wonderful teacher. I never did teach though.

I've never had a teacher as bad as what people have described -- well, for one thing, I went to public school, no corporal punishment. My kindergarten teacher didn't like me, and my fifth grade teacher didn't like me because my handwriting wasn't good. I had a couple teachers who weren't very good at teaching in high school, but mostly they were okay, and I had some really great ones too. The worst was my ninth grade science teacher, who would stare at the cheerleaders when they wore their uniforms on game days, and who once said to a boy, "I can't believe you let those girls beat you on a science test!" One of my friends, who was well-endowed, always wore a jacket to his class because otherwise he'd stare at her. We were 13.

I am with you on that one snarky.  It still makes me smile. I ran home with that witch and told my mum, "look what I did mum the teacher said it's pathetic"  She just looked at me, then stuck it on the door. Oh to be young and oblivious.

I guess I was lucky, I didn't have any bad teachers (graduated in 1980).  Of course, I never went to kindergarten, since that was considered preschool back then in my town.

I still have a scare on the back of my left hand from a ruler. I got off lucky, some of my class mates died because of the mistreatment we received at the school.

I had a Year Six (around 10-11 years old kids) teacher called Miss Thomas who was the walking incarnation of a She-Devil; she was scream at children and bully them all the time. I was one of the unfortunate souls who was one of her targets and can remember well her saying "xxxx, you're so stupid thats why you don't have any friends!". She also locked a kid in the classroom after school; he was due to go to a doctor's appointment after Sports Day but she wouldn't let him go as chairs needed stacking even though she agreed he could leave early. After she locked him in, he climbed out the window and ran off. She had the gall the next day to take him to the Headmaster who suspended her for a month.

On our last day before moving up to the next school, she had a go at a bunch of kids whose friend was moving to the US; they proceeded to write 'Miss Thomas is a whore', 'Miss Thomas is a bitch' and 'Miss Thomas needs to die!' on our adventure playground in marker pen. 5 years after I left, I went back and the writing was still there - the kids were going over it so it didn't fade Cheesy She got fired when I was 17 but why I don't know.

Also, am I wrong in thinking she's not human after she got knocked in the head with a cricket ball and got straight up afterwards?

I don't know, but when I worked at a local video store as a teenager, my 7th grade science teacher used to regularly rent porn there. He was actually an okay teacher, but it was pretty icky; at least he didn't recognize me Tongue.

My Earth Science teacher in 8th grade was a really great guy and a great teacher, though. My 10th grade biology teacher cared more about his wrestling team, but he wasn't too bad. My honors chemistry teacher in 11th grade let us play cards all hour. As for my twelfth grade physics teacher, she was an evil little harpy who hated my guts because I dared to question the validity of our textbook, which oversimplified things to the point of lying about them, and which she co-wrote. I got sick for a week senior year, and while I was gone she griped to the AP class (consisting of like 5 guys) that I was probably skipping and was irresponsible, and was quite shocked to find that I was friends with nearly every guy in that group. My future boyfriend, whom she adored, really tore into her, so that was fun Cheesy.

I also had a pervy middle school science teacher. He used to prop his....ahem...man parts...up on the corners of the desks while he lectured. One girl got really angry at him about it one time and just SLAMMED her fist down...right at the corner. He retired that year.

Ahh bad teachers! Me had many. Give me a blank piece of paper and I can write a whole essay within "margins" due to ms beth's Angry bitch ass beating me everytime I went out of the lines. That's ok. I drew pics of her and sold them to the other chitlins for a nickel a piece. I was quite rich in 2nd grade! (at least rich enough to buy an icecream sandwich or something..lol)
