I made an art gallery for Sims 3. I really don't like the one that came with Sunset Valley, its just way to open for the little amount of stuff actually in it, and it gave me a place to dump things my sim collected and the paintings his wife made.
That is the outside of it. Inside on the first floor is the gallery. Most of the art work is done by the wife of one of my sims. Also there are tables that have some cut gems and metal ingots, those were found by my sim. There is a basement, and it had about $100,000 worth of ingots, cut gems, space rocks, and magic gnomes. When I packaged the lot all of that, along with a few paintings, were sent to my sims family inventory. I had the vision of making a little sitting area down there, and then the majority of the basement being more gallery space for the cut gems. Well that didn't happen because it won't let me build walls down there, even when I took it down to about 1 3/4 levels deep, it still said that it was covered by floor tile.
Out back there is a little resting place for where my sim and his wife will by buried, seemed fitting seeing as this is their gallery. The second floor has a little coffee bar and some seating in front of it. There are also two bathrooms, a reading area, and a chess area.
There is store content in this lot. I used the sofa, love seat, armchair, dining chair, end table, curtains, and their textures from the storybook set.
As for CC patterns, I looked through the entire lot and I am pretty sure I only used 2. These Hexagon Tiles (
