Whew!  I thought that I was seeing conspiracy theory's everywhere.

I know that some Trojans send packets of information out so I would think that they could not only track you but if it is a key logger to know everything you type.  That would be one way to find out who the pirates are.

It appears that the problem is "burstnet.com".  I went over to TSR and my browser froze up while "it" was loading.  I checked my cookies and, sure enough, there was a ton of cookies from that site.

I wouldn't say not to run it, but I went there and it was trying to run an ActiveX for some menu plug-in or another. I then ran Panda Activescan due to the posts here and nothing popped up. Panda is the bomb, IMHO.

EDIT: You know, I do believe it mentioned something about BurstNet. Perhaps my security settings are higher than ya'lls. I just use IE. It yelled to me about the ActiveX and I told it not to install.

I usually use Slimbrowser, which is based off of IE, but anytime I'm going to go to TSR, I always load up Firefox and use the NoScript plugin, that way I can select to allow ONLY TSR to run java and/or active-x.  So far it's kept me safe from viruses from them.

Someone deleted my guestbook entry to her on TSR, which really isn't suprising since I sounded like a petulant child.  I was just shocked to see her moving there, I guess I wasn't thinking.  :roll:

How about a rum cheesecake? (I'm certain such a thing exists, although I've never had it.) ETA: The best of all possible worlds: a chocolate rum cheesecake. I can die happy now.  

Oh, and lulz at the 'half a woman' comment! When my back FIRST went out at the end of December, I spent about three weeks without the computer, until I resigned myself to a bigger problem and had my nephew move my computer next to my bed. I felt renewed!  Meanwhile, miss a, is there a new puter in the pipeline? Repairs? Or are you stuck posting via someone else's non-simmified computer for a while?
