Insimenator needs donations or will be closed in 2 days time

Donation Drive & More ~ January 22nd

As everyone knows this site is completely free for everyone. To download, to upload, to socialize, all we ask for is donations to keep the sites running. For the last couple months we have not been covering the monthly expenses of the 2 sites and it is time for the servers to be paid again and again we do not have enough to cover the expense.

I am asking anyone who can donate to please do so. We have until the 25th to raise $700 of what we need or I will be forced to let the main site die until I have time to find other hosting options.

You can donate by making a payment through Paypal here or you can mail in a donation via the information found here.

Also we have added monthly subscriptions for those who wish to donate on a monthly basis.

Also I will be pulling the sites down to perform some backend things that should fix the disconnection problem within the next week.

I dont know..I really dont know. I'm lost for words with this.

Hardly any members donate (I remember Kathy telling me the percentage of members who donate, it was tiny) and two days...If they make it, it will be a miracle.

Am going to be so sad if Insim goes.

Despite using InSimenator and its various utilities almost constantly during gameplay, I don't know much about the people behind it.

Would you all recommend a donation there? Is the money probably going where they say it is going?

I will hit them for a bit, if so. I use that thing all the damn time, probably more so than any other hack or object I have downloaded.

Yes, they are very trustworthy and yes, the money will be put to good use.
They are supporting and housing alot of other creators as well, so you'll be helping dozens of creators, plus the thousands that enjoy Insim.

The thousands should donate if they appreciate Insim.

I've donated several times over the past year, but I can't now, I hope they can pull it off. I will be very sad if they go down.

To answer TashaYarrr's question, I do think they use the money to run the site. It would help a lot though if they would post income/expenditures. All sites should do that. It's tough to run such a big site and they get a lot of grief from morons. I don't regret my donations there and I would probably give again if I were in a position to do so.

You do have a point there, actually. I've donated a few times in the last year (and even have that purty little gold symbol next to my username), but like some here, I'm really low on cash, too, right now, and doubt if I can make another donation within two days. Perhaps it might have been a bit more effective if Kathy or Eric did a MTS2 or Nouk-type maneuver about a week or more before (prefreably more) and put up a donation chart to see just how much more is needed. I know that some people over there had been requesting something like that, or at least some sort of regular updates. Not putting up one or posting updates might actually have a negative effect. A couple of people might actually be reluctant to donate if they don't sense that the goal is actually reachable. And mailing a donation is a moot point now, unless the donor lives locally.

Ah, well. I'll see if I've got any spare change. That's about the best I can do. And I wish Insim all the luck in the world. It really is a worthwhile site to donate to.

i dont think i could survive without the insim so i donated as soon as i saw this thread. Even made a thread over at Snooty's hoping that my peeps over there will lend a helping hand.
