Nah - that Imhotep in "The Mummy" seems pretty lively for Ankh Su-namun. I'll take the bronzed sexy body of a mummy (and the gold, the gold!!!!11) over wild man scratches and limping the next morning anyday. And the werewolves of traditional myths used to rip children apart - not cool. Mummies just curse you- plus - they know magic.
Ah! Calalily, you picked a side! I'm still deciding. However, since the mummy side has less support at the moment I'm going to have to agree with calalily that there are several benefits to mummies just so that we can measure the benefits fairly. Not just the fabulous magical powers, and piles of gold, but think of all the worshippers you can collect and I imagine that the mummy was probably buried with control over some kind of mummy-type legion. Plus, the mummy's curse doesn't affect the mummy, it only affects the people who piss the mummy off.
While the werewolf is super strong, able to leap long distances, and will remain human most of the time, bathing is likely the last thing on a werewolf's mind while they are a wolf and they are likely going to wake up naked in the middle of the forest at least once a month (Eeep!). However, I haven't made a clear decision as yet, I'm still weighing both sides  .
