I'd just leave this one alone. She is going crazy when we aren't doing anything to her. To think what would happen if we did do something. The thought frightens me. She needs help, unless she is faking mental illness, then she needs more help than is humanly possible to give.

Sorry bout that Snarky, that incident had totally slipped my mind until you just mentioned it. Yeah, we should let it go about this chick, nothing is going to help unless she seeks it out. If we push the issue with her, she could just snap and it could get ugly. People are the most dangerous animal on this earth and we know what the smaller animals can and will do when they feel cornered, so why do we always forget that humans can get the same way?

Well it's pretty sad she let it come to this. I'd like to know if there were really some abusive emails sent. I seriously doubt anyone here would still do that, so I wonder what is really going on.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but I know that it was my email to all the paysite owners that got her so riled up. And as far as I can tell, I was polite, did not present myself as an EA employee, made NO threats, and did not ask them to shut down.

I've posted it before, but again, here's the text of that letter:

I would encourage you to make all of your custom content free for all downloaders as soon as possible, as it is becoming very clear that EA will no longer tolerate paysites.

There are many ways to raise money for bandwidth costs – charging money for pixels, in violation of EA’s End User License Agreement and copyrights is NOT the way to do it.

Please know that the free sims community will respond with great jubilation and financial support should you decide to go free. Consider following in the footsteps of Mdlein Designs, Retail Sims, and Sim-Placement: go free.

I do not want you to close your site. I want you to honor EA’s copyrights and let your creations be free for ALL players. EA clearly wants to you to do this. Please comply, and bring harmony back to the community.

Please tell me if I said something wrong. HystericalParoxysm looked at it before I sent, and she saw nothing wrong with it.

Once I was told that she planned to go free, I went to her Yahoo group - signed up - and found no evidence of it. I attempted to post a rebuttal to some of the comments there (in that business-like way that I have), but it was not accepted. However...I also found where someone had included her original 'going free' statement in a response, so I sent a private message to HER, saying "I just saw this, thanks, if you need financial help, we've got your back, apologies for saying anything untoward in my rebuttal, congrats, etc."

And that's when i got slammed and we got included in the Axis of Evil.

I don't see that anyone here harassed her.  She was approached in a very civil manner, even applauded for making a good decision, then for some odd reason she went totally psycho.

Hecubus, I really believe this is the email that set her off and undid all your postive work.

I would watch this carefully. Until EA makes an official statement,
it is clear that the support team is not the final word on what EA
legal will decide to do. I don't want to harrass or stress you. I
